ELASTODONTIC THERAPY

Elastodontic therapy uses gentle elastic forces, in both young and adult patients, promoting oral and skeletal health by eliminating functional issues and improving tooth alignment.

This therapy is crucial in modern dentistry, especially in early intervention orthodontics, targeting the most flexible stages of skeletal and dental development to prevent and treat dental misalignments.

Indications

THESE APPLIANCES DO NOT REPLACE THE CLASSIC ORTHODONTIC THERAPIES, BUT THEY AIM TO INTEGRATE THE TREATMENT FOR A MORE COMPLETE ORTHODONTICS, NOT LIMITED TO PROCURING STRAIGHT TEETH BUT ALSO DEALING WITH ALL THE STRUCTURES THAT FORM THE STOMATOGNATIC SYSTEM.

MAKING IT POSSIBLE TO INTERVENE WITH OTHER APPLIANCES FOR THE CORRECT TEETH ALIGNMENT ON SKELETAL HARMONIZED STRUCTURES.

The appliance is INDICATED to improve neurovegetative oro-pharyngeal functions, sucking- swallowing, chewing, phonation, and breathing to improve the nose ventilatory function with a return to the nose-oro-laringo-pharyngeal normal function. The appliance is also recommended for patients with bruxism and nocturnal snoring.

Malocclusion & Posture

Occlusion is a dynamic and continuous evolutionary process shaped by the neuro-vegetative mouth functions.

Scientific studies have proved that malocclusion is the cause of dysfunctional problems. The mouth and head position are a part of the general postural attitude; hence, every head misalignment provokes disharmonies and tensions in the neck muscles.

These tensions are reflected in the entire body to which the head is connected. For this reason, recovering a correct position of the cephalic bone and the skull-facial dysmorphia will also allow the restoration of the first cervical vertebras for a constant postural control.

ELASTIC THERMOACTIVABLE DEVICE OF FUNCTIONAL ORTHOPEDIC-SKELETAL ARTICULAR (TMJ) NEURO-MUSCULAR-OCCLUSAL AND POSTURAL CHARACTER

The AMCOP Bio-Activator is an elastodontic device of great therapeutic validity made entirely of a functional nature elastic and thermoactivable material, specifically orthopedic of the dento-craniofacial system.

It reconditions the neuro-muscular system and aligns the teeth in a correct relationship with the bone bases and, therefore, with the skull, the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), the cervical spine, and, more specifically, with the Cranio-Sacral System (posture). The treatment with AMCOP Bio Activator can be considered an extraordinary Ortho-Cranio-Facial Bio-Orthopedics.

The different AMCOP devices have the purpose of favoring the correct dental eruption and the harmonious development of the dental arches towards an ideal shape with correct transverse, vertical, sagittal, and torsional occlusal relationships, rehabilitating the various occlusal imbalances.

The action of the activator is also specific for the recovery of the vital autonomic or pharyngeal functions of the mouth: "sucking-swallowing, breathing, chewing and phonation".

DECIDUAL TEETH

D MODEL

Is particularly important in the dental-skeletal growth stimulation for very young children with different types of arches, with skull and facial distortions for the neuromuscular system reconditioning when the teeth are closed during the night hours.

DC MODEL

It is characterized by an external grip that makes it similar to a pacifier to make use of the device particularly pleasing to the little patient from the psycho-emotional point of view.

CLASS I

S MODEL

Suitable shape to a more oval cranial morphology and with more rounded dental arches.

CLASS II

SC MODEL

Appliance for the Angle Skeletal Class II treatment. It corrects the Class II skeletal classes repositioning the jaw in a Class I key. It is indicated for the Class II dysmorphosis for the retrognathia mandibular treatment to influence the progress of the jaw (in retrusion) with a well-defined orthopedic effect.

It was designed with a mandibular anterior sliding plane that places the incisors edge to edge, providing a lengthening of the mandibular bone base with the increase of the vertical dimension in case of deep bite, for the back tilt of the lower incisors and the pro-incision of the upper incisors (overjet) with consequent temporomandibular reconditioning joints.

CLASS III

TC MODEL

Appliance for the Angle skeletal Class III treatment. It corrects the Class III repositioning the Class I key jaw. It is indicated in Class III dysmorphosis for the mandibular pseudo-prognathic treatment.

It is also indicated for inverse and anterior open bites. It is suitable to procure the arches' correct functioning in a regular incisive key relationship, through the upper teeth obtained a position in an inner sliding plane and, on the contrary, applying a posterior pressure on the inferior arch, to stop the mandibular growth action.

It reconditions the anterior segment, controlling dysfunctional muscle forces with a proper labial competence restoration. It is also indicated for a dysfunctional tongue re-education in a correct rest posture and incorrect swallowing.

OPEN

Indicated for the treatment of dental arches, with skeletal malocclusion, of the anterior Open Bite type; which has as its determining cause, bad habits such as atypical swallowing and a specific skull-mandibular skeletal decompensation.

THE TWO TYPES OF OCCLUSAL FLOORS

INTEGRAL

Is indicated for an orthopedic-osteopathic action for the occlusal curves’ alteration therapy, such as the anterior / lateral deep bite, and the correct dental arches balance.

BASIC

Is indicated for the increase of the vertical dimension, for the remodeling of alveolar ridges, as it is equipped with a thickening of the occlusal plane in the anterior area.
